Playing DS Or PS3 Games

Comparing DS games to PS3 is quite similar with comparing apples to oranges. This is because a Nintendo DS is a hand held, portable game system that can taken anywhere; a PS3, or Playstation 3, is a game system that must be played on a television set. The types of games that are available for each individual system are quite different, as well. The main reason someone would want to own both of these game systems is so that they can enjoy the convenience of a portable game as well as play the types of games only available on a PS3.

Nintendo DS games, like most Nintendo games, are generally more brightly colored and family friendly. Longtime favorites like Mario and Zelda are available on the Nintendo DS; people who grew up playing Super Nintendo will find a lot of old favorites on the shelves of a major video game store. DS games are generally more suitable for children than PS3 games. Families with young children usually opt to purchase a Nintendo game system over a Playstation one.

Also, DS games are usually a lot cheaper than PS3 games. People can usually afford to buy a lot more DS games than PS3 games, and can therefore experiment with a greater variety. The Nintendo DS is also lightweight but incredibly durable. Young kids can easily be trusted with a DS because even if one is dropped, it is unlikely to incur any major, irreparable damage. The game cartridges for a DS are also quite sturdy; the biggest risk when it comes to those cartridges is losing them since they are quite small.

Teenagers and adults are much likelier to prefer a Playstation 3 in many ways. A lot of the hottest and most popular action games are available on the PS3, and not the DS. Role playing games, which are becoming more and more popular by the year, are also available in a lot of PS3 titles. Some of the more violent and adult oriented games are made for the PS3, which is also a big part of the reason why adults choose a PS3 over a Nintendo product.

The PS3 can also be connect to the Internet through a WiFi connection, and additional games and accessories can be downloaded easily. The new version of the Nintendo DS is also wireless capable, but the Playstation 3 has had this capability for a long time. Popular PS3 games like Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero allow players to download additional songs, so that they don't get bored with the same ones over and over.

The differences between DS games and PS3 are many. Different types of people will enjoy them for various reasons. Whether you like the DS or the Playstation 3 more, either system is entertaining and is sure to keep you occupied for a long time.
